Welcome to the missions ministry of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Here at WPC we are committed to fulfilling the call of Christ to his disciples to, “go and make disciples of all nations…”

We believe that living out of our faith means serving people in every corner of the world, from the heart of Lubbock to the ends of the earth. We are committed to becoming a missional church in which every member lives out their calling as a disciple of Christ. We are learning that “Missions” is not just one of the things we do at our church but that it should be evident in all that we do as a church. We are learning that in every moment, in every circumstance, we are called to serve, to teach, to love and to listen. This is the essence of what we believe Mission to be. Some are called to serve locally and some are called to go to the farthest reaches of the globe, but all are called to go. Because the calling is so great we offer mission and ministry opportunities locally, nationally, and internationally as well.

I hope that as you look at the different missionaries and mission organizations we support you may feel called to serve them in some way. For some it is making a financial contribution that will further a persons ministry. For others it will mean diving in hands first and getting involved. We are a partnering church which means that we do not just send money out but that we get involved in every ministry we join. We are a sending body and believe that God is constantly calling people to join him on mission to the world.

As a partnering church we believe that just sending money will not be enough to get mission accomplished. Therefore, we choose to partner with different ministries in order to join our people with different mission opportunities across the globe. We seek to be involved financially as we pray for them diligently and join them when possible.

We also believe that when God calls someone to go into the mission field, whether it is local, global or vocational (seminary) we are called to be a sending church that supports them in every way possible. These are the missionaries we support. Please join us in praying for them and supporting them financially as you feel led.
