- What is the transportation you take to camp?
We will be taking a charter bus to camp. This bus will hold around 35 people and will be driven by a contracted driver with the charter bus company. - Where do the kids stay while at camp?
Everyone stays in the dorms on campus at the Texas Women's University. The dorms are divided up into a girls and boys dorms. Each of our groups will be housed on the same floor. There are 2 people to a room with a private bathroom inside each room. Our leaders will stay on the same floor as the children but in separate rooms. At no point will a leader be sleeping in the room with children. - What does a typical day look like at camp?
click here to download schedule - Who will be my child's roommate be for camp?
As it gets closer you will be given paperwork to fill out and in that will be a form to request a roommate.Every effort will be made to honor child's request. The roommate list will NOT be made known until we get to camp. Please note that you are only in your rooms to shower and sleep. The majority of our time is spent together as a group at activities and worship. - What is your adult to child ratio?
We seek to have a 1 to 5 ratio. The leaders on the trip will consist of Leslie Roach, Children's Director as well as sunday school leaders and parents. The exact list of leaders will be provide as camp draws closer. - Can we invite friends to camp that aren't members of WPC?
Yes! Please feel free to invite friends! - Is there a camp nurse on site?
No there is no camp nurse on site. But the camp does do an excellent job of providing us direct access to the hospital as well as minor emergency care. All medicines need to given with instructions to the Leslie Roach, Children's Director, upon leaving for camp. No medicine will be given to a child without written approval or a phone call to the parent. - What does my child need to bring?
As the time to leave for camp draws closer we will publish a what to bring list. The list does not include anything out of the ordinary. Girls are not allowed to bring two piece bathing suits. - How do I go about applying for a scholarship?
If you feel that your child would like to attend camp but your family cannot afford the cost please speak with Leslie Roach, Children's Director, at leslie@wpclubbock.org or 806-799-3621. She will be open to hearing about your needs and making sure that your child can attend without you having a huge finacial worry.
