Ice Cream Challenge
Did you know that every 2 seconds someone dies from hunger? Wow, that’s hard to believe isn’t it? There are 800 million hungry people in the world, 300 million of whom are children.
Did you know that it would cost an estimated 20 billion dollars to provide drinking water, basic health needs, and nutrition to feed the 800 million hungry people in our world? That’s a lot of money!!!
Now for the most shocking fact of all…statistics show that we, as Americans, spend 20 billion dollars a year on ICE CREAM? Yes, $20 billion dollars, enough to feed ALL the hungry people of the world.
So the Sarah Circle is challenging you to an “ICE CREAM CHALLENGE” for the months of June, July & August.
The next time you decide to go out for ice cream we challenge you. We challenge you to either forgo your trip and donate the estimated amount of how much you would have spent or go head and treat yourself and your family but donate a matching amount to the “ICE CREAM CHALLENGE” fund.
At the end of each month the funds collected will be used to purchase groceries for local families in need.
How awesome is that. This gift will be worth every bite of ice cream, without a doubt.
There will be an “ICE CREAM CHALLENGE” collection container in the Narthex and the Sunday school rooms each Sunday during the summer.
Blessing others together,
The Sarah Circle

Wednesday Nights at Westminster
Wednesday Nights at Westminster are taking a break for the summer. There will be no catered dinners or discipleship classes to attend throughout May, June, July, and most of August. However, if you are interested in helping with WPC's Service Men and Women Stocking Project or attending the women's group, "Sarah's Circle," these activities will continue to meet on Wednesday nights. A light, complimentary supper of soup or salad will be served to those attending either of these events at 5:45pm in the FMC.
